SCIENTIST AND METEOROLOGIST: CERTIFICATIONS

Education

2011, December: Ph.D. in Meterology at the School of Meteorology of the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. Dissertation: ‘Integrated Role of the Urban Canopy on turbulent transfer with the roughness sub-layer from observations.’ Supervisor: Dr. Petra Klein. The research focused on the analysis of data from a 1-year long observational campaign of turbulent transfer using 13 sonic anemometers and a scintillometer, distributed across an urban street canyon structure.
2005, December: MSc. in Meterology at the School of Meteorology of the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. Thesis: 'Modulation of Rainfall by the South American Altiplano Lakes'. Supervisor: Dr. Michael Douglas. Research focused on understanding the mechanisms that favored or suppressed lake-effect convective storms over Lake Titicaca.
1999, December: B.Sc. in Meteorology at Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, Lima, Peru. Top student in the Meteorology class. Second highest GPA-equivalent grade in the Science Faculty’s class.
